DRAMA&WORKSHOP
African Culture Drama
Our Drama and Workshop program is there because every child, teenager and adult is very special and should be treated as such.Negative feedback affects self-esteem and confidence. By focusing on what the person does well, they will over time do more of that and less of what they don’t. A supportive environment lends itself to taking more risks and therefore becoming more relaxed and creative.Self-belief, confidence and feeling relaxed leads to high quality acting. Every person has their own unique personality and character to bring to their acting style.Children and teenagers make great teachers and can help each other learn. We currently have drama classes on the weekends and students are taught different acts and given different roles. Services that CERFO offers or expects to offer are such:
Acting/drama Classes - Acting/drama classes that will base on the children, youth and adults.
Musical Theater classes - Singing and dancing for children and youth.
Weekend Workshops - Specialized intensive workshops for students Students workshops are run by our staff or special guest teachers from the film and television industry, for example successful actors, directors and casting agents.
CERFO warmly invites you to join hands together in order to support providing education to Tanzanians who need it and to those who are talented and who we believe to bring change in this world.
As the current trend is in this Country, it is unlikely that all talented people will be born in financially stable families; we know that some will come from families under the poverty line and that their parents may not even afford to provide school uniforms, learning materials and others needs for personal studies. If this happens, what will become of these talented innocent youngsters? The answer is obvious, they won’t attend school. If they won’t afford to attend school, the nation and the world at large will lose natural talented people as well as professional ones and hence loss of a valuable country asset.
Many young talented people are already victims of these circumstances and Community Education Resources Foundation (CERFO) is here to support these needs, Please join your hands with us to ensure that we can serve the world’s greatest saviors!
We strongly affirm that “for the fire to burn, it must be made first, it cannot light itself”. Much time has been lost and hence many talents have been lost unnoticed! It is not an individual loss but the whole world has suffered greatly. Every one is a witness, that yesterday has gone, and that for many Young Talented Tanzanians there shall be no tomorrow; we must act today to make a difference.Drama and workshop program can have big positive impacts in any society.
